It was yet another reason to party…it was Twyla’s birthday! Celebrating in style at one of her favourite restaurant and night clubs, the friendly staff at Club Metropolis provided a night to remember. The moment she walked in, they announced she was in the house and the party got started. With exceptional service, the warmest hospitality known out there, surrounded by sophistication and elegance, it’s no wonder she knows where the nightlife is! Happy Birthday, Twyla!

Celebrating in Style
It was a grand night at the grand opening of the new Wednesday night party at Lot 332 in Toronto. With over 1,000 people in attendance and a special performance by Stevie B, there was no doubt Twyla was still right in the centre of things. Special thanks to the staff, and honourable mention to DJ Marky D for the VIP treatment and warm hospitality.
Spreading Cheer At The Children’s Hospital
We really don’t realize how lucky we are! Last year alone, there were over 150,000 children cared for at McMaster Children’s Hospital, one of the largest pediatric healthcare facilities in Canada. Especially around the holiday season, it’s even more difficult for families to spend their time in the hospital caring for a young child or teenager who is sick. And it’s only one of many qualities Twyla has by giving back to the community. She took time out of her busy schedule to visit with the children, make a donation, and hand out Easter plush toys to put a smile on the faces of the little ones. “It was a humbling experience I will never forget”, Twyla said. “It’s the least I could do”, she added, “if we all did something special for someone, just think how much better the world would be”. You know what? She’s right.
Supporting the Canadian Filmmaker’s Festival
Currently in its third year, the Canadian Filmmaker’s Festival is thriving…and Twyla was right there to show her support. The festival showcased over 29 films and, after the screening, it was Twyla’s opportunity to network with filmmakers and interact with other Canadian talent within the industry at the after party. Many special thanks to Warren Sonoda, a successful and accomplished director, for giving Twyla the royal treatment, and for his warm hospitality. Go Canada, Go!
Join Twyla For A Worthy Cause
Twyla will be showing her support and lending a helping hand on Thursday, March 2nd at the Burlington Living Arts Centre for “Inspirations of Spring”. It’s a fashion fundraiser for Nelson Youth Centres, an accredited children’s mental health facility that offers after-school treatment programs to boys and girls aged 7 – 14 who experience some form of social, emotional, learning, and behavioral difficulties due to family conflict, low self-esteem, inadequate social skills, or psychological disorders. Twyla will be donned in exclusive diamonds, courtesy of Williams Distinctive Gems, for this formal event. Emcee for the evening is former Canadian talk show host Dini Petty. Your $75 ticket includes cocktails, desserts, a live auction, entertainment provided by singer Rosanna Riverso, as well as a runway fashion show sponsored by many downtown merchants. Do your part and help Twyla out for this worthy cause.
Have A Nice Day…Twyla Did!
After attending last night’s Bon Jovi concert at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto and running in to the band at a local lounge that evening, she received a phone call from a very important person the following morning. Arrangements were made for dinner, then a spontaneous decision to drive to Niagara Falls as Twyla as a personal tour guide brought them to Honeymoon City to view one of the “Seven Wonders of the World”. Returning back to Toronto, they all went back to the lounge to chat with Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, David Bryan, Hugh McDonald, among others. On a personal note from Twyla…”I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to Steve for being so spontaneous, for making me laugh so much, for being so kind, generous, thoughtful, and so giving. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! You ROCK my world!”
Bon Jovi Blitz
Even though its one of four sold-out shows, see if you can spot Twyla in the crowd at the upcoming Bon Jovi concert at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto. She’s sure to stand out somewhere. Rumour has it, she even ran in to Jon Bon Jovi, Ritchie Sambora, David Bryan, Hugh McDonald and the rest of the boys at a local lounge afterwards. And if you think it ends there, you are wrong. They have plans for the following day.
Twyla ROCKS On!
There’s never a dull moment in Twyla’s world and that was evident again this past week. Taking in one of four sold-out Bon Jovi concerts at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre was just the beginning. Before she knew it, Twyla was right in the centre of the famous rock band’s universe! After-concert cocktails at a downtown Toronto lounge with band members Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, David Bryan, and Hugh McDonald led to even more excitement the next evening. A dinner-invite led to a spontaneous tour of Niagara Falls showing off one of the Seven Wonder’s of the World. ROCK on!
It’s A Christmas Cover
They hit the nail on the head when they picked the model for the cover page for “Party Time”. Lately, that’s all Twyla has been doing…aside from modelling, of course. And they couldn’t be more right when it comes to working as hard as she plays. That’s why you will find Twyla donning both the cover page, as well as the inside of the fashion section of The Hamilton Spectator.
R&B Artist (“I Wish”), Carl Henry
“‘I Wish’ Carl Henry would sing for me”, said Twyla, “I LOVE that song”. And wouldn’t you know it? That’s just what happened. On Friday night after a full day — and night — Twyla still made it to the big city to receive royal treatment at one of her favourite clubs. There, she watched Carl perform “I Wish”, then chatted with the R&B artist until the wee hours of the morning.
